Join us for Personal Workers' Training Camp (PWTC) experience. Our mission partners with Aboriginal people in northwestern Ontario and eastern Manitoba. We drive or fly participants into remote northern reserves where they work directly with native leaders. Living conditions are rustic. Expect to spend a lot of time with Native children through Vacation Bible School, fishing, camping, and outdoor activities. Interact with adults through literature sales, VBS, church fundraisers, and activities. Anyone participating in this program will be working directly with the mission. SMBI will give credit when all requirements are satisfactorily completed.

This mission will provide the female trainees with an opportunity to work in two clinics; one is located in a remote area. Their work will include domestics, gardening, and general assistance of mission personnel. For male trainees there will be an opportunity to assist in self-help projects, vehicle and building maintenance needs, etc. All trainees can expect to be involved in visitation and evangelism efforts There may be an opportunity for a short Spanish language course. - $1,700.00

Your mission training may include exposure to various types of settings in Belize from primitive to more modern settings.You will serve the native people as you witness with the missionary by tract distribution, door-to-door evangelism, and Bible study. Trainees will be involved in purposedful cultural exploration; experiencing firsthand a different culture, learning some language, developing some friendships, teaching/tutoring English, prayer walking. Trainees will provide a two week Bible shcool for the cross cultural workers' children, hopefully with some English speaking Bengli children. Ladies would be especially welcomed to help babysit worker's children for several hours a day so that young mothers can pursue further language learning. (Note that for this mission there may be significant costs beyond what is payable to SMBI - $300-$500- for visas, shots, food, lodging, ect.) - $2900.00

The primary work of the mission is providing leadership and support for United Christian Mennonite Church and also operating and providing staff for United Christian School. Trainees would assist in summer Bible school teaching, work projects with the mission staff, witnessing at the market, helping with Bible studies, and helping prepare the school for the upcoming school year. -$1,350.00
