The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth labourers into his harvest.
Luke 10:2
Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
Mark 10:29-30

Agape Development Ministries (ADM)  was born out of a vision by the AMA missionaries to help the desperate needs of the people they were ministering too. It was originally directed by a AMA mission pastor, but as it grew, there was a family brought in just for directing ADM.

You will find a very informative article on the birth of Agape in AMA's book Bringing in the Sheaves.
The article is written by ADM Chairman Merle Beachy.  Originally ADM was going to start income generating projects in Kenya to support its own humanitarian aid projects.  However, after pouring money into these projects and seeing little return, the business's were finally terminated and sold to local church people.

We now depend solely on donations to operate the programs. Much of our support comes from CAM, but we also receive funds from other private well wishers, and occasional church offerings.

We feel privileged that CAM has put confidence in us, and allows us to use their funds to do work here in Kenya.  We send them monthly and annual reports and they occasionally send a delegation over to observe and give direction to the work.

As the ADM director I was commissioned by request of AMA, and I assist in pastor work, but I am primarily responsible for the ADM projects.

I hope this gives you a glimpse of ADM.
